Continuing its reign as Americas best-selling full-size SUV, the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe offers a new fuel-saving six-speed automatic transmission that comes standard with the 5.3L V8 engine that produces 320 hp and 340 lb-ft of torque and with the new 6.2L V8 engine that generates 395 hp and 417 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the 2WD Tahoe LS is now equipped with a 4.8L V8 engine with 295 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque paired to a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard feature updates include a third-row seat, real-time traffic information for the navigation system and an enhanced version of OnStar. Brand-new features are an integrated brake controller, Bluetooth connectivity, heated and cooled front seats and a blind-spot alert system. Available in two-wheel or four-wheel drive configurations, the Tahoe seats up to nine passengers, offers a maximum towing capacity of 8,400 pounds and has a cargo capacity of 108.9 cubic feet. The 4WD Tahoe equipped with the 5.3L V8 posts EPA fuel economy estimates of 14 mpg city-20 mpg hwy and 16 mpg combined.
