When the innovative Chrysler Pacifica was unveiled at the 2002 North American International Auto Show, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, president and CEO of the Chrysler Group, referred to the car as the company's next segment buster. Shown initially as a concept, the final production Pacifica was the result of 30 months of development and production began in early 2003 as a 2004 model. Chrysler calls the Pacifica a Sports Tourer with such unique features as easy step-across entry and exit, first-class seating, three rows of seats, and fold-flat second and third row seats.
