Since its introduction in 1963 the 911 has been Porsche’s flagship vehicle which is manufactured in Stuttgart, Germany as a rear engine two door sports car with an independent rear suspension and a very distinctive design. Throughout its life span it has been modified by private teams as well as the factory for racing, rallying and other forms of automotive competition and is among one of the most successful competition cars ever. After 34 years in production the famous air cooled engine was replaced with a water cooled engine with the release of the 996 Series (1998-2004). The newly designed body enabled the Carrera to have an incredibly low drag coefficient of .30 which won it numerous international design awards. The rear spoiler raises automatically at speeds over 75 mph or it can be raised manually via the interior switch. In 2002 the 996 Series was revised with clear indicator lights, a slightly revised front fascia and the engine displacement was increased to 3.6 L which increased the horsepower to 320. This particular example is Arctic Silver Metallic in color with a black leather interior. It was delivered new with a Tiptronic S Transmission, 18” Turbo look II wheels, wheel caps with color crests, Litronic headlights with washers, a Bose High End sound package, full electrical power seats with driver memory, heated seats, Porsche Crest in the headrest and had an original MSRP of almost $80,000.00. This is an accident free two owner car with 43,568 original miles. The 2nd owner purchased it from the original selling dealer in 2008 with 30,543 miles and has averaged about 2,500 miles per year since. It has been dealer serviced on a regular basis and almost $4,000 was spent in the last 3 months to ensure everything is in perfect working order. Repairs included a new battery, alternator, turn signal switch, passenger window motor, gas hood struts and a rear lid shock.
