2000 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 LT 4WD

This report covers half-ton 1500, three quarter-ton 2500, and 1-ton 3500. All come in regular cab or Quad Cab extended-cab models with two rear-hinged back doors and 3-place rear bench seat. Engines are a 3.9-liter V6, 5.2- and 5.9-liter V8s, an 8.0-liter V10, and a 5.9-liter 6-cyl turbodiesel. Automatic or manual transmission is available. Rams come with rear-wheel drive or 4WD that must be disengaged on dry pavement but includes low-range gearing. Four-wheel disc brakes are newly standard on 2500/3500, along with 4-wheel ABS that remains optional on 1500s in lieu of rear-wheel ABS.
