The partial re-design in 1997 features a different grille, tailights, different gauges, and other trim items. The 4.6L DOHC 32 Valve V8 engine's first application was in the Mark VIII BEFORE the Mustang Cobra in 1993 and the Mustang got this great engine in 1996. The LSC gives you an extra 10 horsepower to 290 courtesy of dual exhaust and also has a 3.27 axle ratio vs. the even taller 3.07 ratio for even quicker acceleration. Only 1384 Collector Editions were made and come with 2 Tone Tan or Gray leather upholstery, a Wood steering wheel & shift knob, a Collector's Edition plaque in the driver's door jamb, and other features. This car was ahead of its time and that it was the first domestic car to have HID headlights as standard equipment and among other features.
