Mechanic Special! 1997 BMW 528i - $2000 (Winston-Salem), , This is a 1997 BMW 528i, this car is a mechanic special, a mechanic's dream to be exact. This car is repairable and I am selling it to get out of my loan. I am selling it for $2000 cash no negotiations and no-haggling please. I will not take anything less. This cars goes for anywhere from $4000-$8000 at dealers. This car has 148,000 miles on it and until the overheating drove great. Might be a weekend project for a would-be mechanic and an easy fix for a professional mechanic. The car still drives and you are welcome to come by and see it for yourself and even bring a mechanic to check it out. I don't have the title, but will provide that when sale is final (dealer has title and I will go down there and have them title the car in your name). I have not driven the car since it over heated I just run the engine 5 mins. Everyday...I am a novice DIY ask a mechanic., , Options: AMFM Radio, 6-disc cd changer, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Seats, Gray Leather, Cruise Control, Tilt, Sun Roof, Airbag, Alloy Wheels, Clock, Trip Odometer, Tachometer, Interval Wipers, Rear Defroster, Center Arm Rest, Center Console, power doorlock, keyless entry, alarm, A/C, Heat...etc. , , New: the car has a new temp sensor, thermostat, and thermostat aluminum housing., , Heating issues: it could be the cylinder head gasket $90 new - $350 for the entire kit, water pump $80 new - $110 for the kit, radiator $80 new - $200 for the whole kit. Total cost of parts=$650, (Most of these can be purchased from junk yards - cutting the cost in half), Mechanical issues: 1. the car overheats, and that is the major issue. 2.) one of the power windows doesn't work, but the window stays up. 3.)
