This freshly-repainted, heavily-customized adventure-vehicle is a product of my own design. When I started, this was just a 1993 Explorer Sport 4x4. It is nothing at all like a factory Explorer anymore, so KBB values don't really apply. This is also an original 5-speed model. Good luck finding another stickshift 4x4 Explorer. They are quite rare., , This particular model year is desirable because it sports solid axles front and rear, both of which have locking differentials. The electronic 4wd transfer case is still in place and fully functional- with the axles locked, you are able to engage 4wd at freeway speeds. This model also sports the highly desirable Dana 10-bolt front axle., , Built by an adult, this vehicle is designed with outdoor sports and play in mind. This is NOT a rock-crawler. This is a vehicle that'll drive just about anywhere you need it to go whether your definition is hiking off the beaten path in Joshua Tree, surfing at San Onofre or skiing in Arrowhead--this Explorer is designed to do just three things: Go, See and Explore., , Sporting a powerful 4.0L V6 Engine, the motor is far from stock with a host of modifications to both improve power and fuel economy., , Engine modifications include:, , Performance Tune Up with High Performance Plugs, Screamin' Demon High-Performance Ignition Coil (+1-3mpg and several HP), JET Performance ECU Chip (Good for 1-3 MPG and +13RWHP on a stock motor), High Performance Drop-In Air Filter in stock filter box (No "Cold Air Intake" as airbox keeps nasty trailjunk and water from entering engine), Pro-Fab 4.0L Airbox-To-Throttle Body Intake Tube (+10 rwhp), Ported Stock Throttle Body W/Half-Shafted Throttle Blade, , , , Chassis Modifications include:, , Polyurethane Torque Arm Bushings, Energy Suspension Complete Polyurethane Chassis Bushing Set, New MOOG Upper and Lower Ball Joints, TrailMaster HD Sway Bar End Links, New Motorcraft Off-Road Shocks Front/Rear, STOCK RIDE HEIGHT and WIDE stance to keep center of gravity low and keep it stable for better handling. This is not a rock-crawler but could easily be one with a Skyjacker lift kit and appropriate set of shocks, but since I designed it this way to help prevent rollovers, I suggest leaving it that way., , , , Body Modifications Include:, , Custom Bolt-On Fender Flares, Replaced Missing Factory Roof Rack Bars for carrying cargo such as a kayak, bicycle, SURFBOARDS, skis, snowboards, etc on roof, Removed Side Skirts, HD Front Brush Guard with removable headlamp guard bars (headlamp guard bars removed currently but are included), Tail Lamp Guards (VERY rare), Custom CCFL Diamond-Clear Headlamps with 6000K HIDs, 2x PIAA Brushguard Mounted Front Aux Driving Lamps (Switched on dash) with 6000K HIDs, 2x Baja Champion Overhead-Mounted Driving Lamps (switched on dash) with 6000k HIDs, New Custom Paint (Grass Green), , , , Wheels/Tires:, , Eagle Alloys Series 058 15x10" Aluminum Wheels, BRAND NEW BF Goodrich T/A KO 10.5x31x15 (31"s) tires, , , , Transmission:, , Freshly Replaced M5R2 5-speed Manual (Good luck EVER finding another stickshift Explorer), Zoom Clutches HD Clutch, New Motorcraft Hydraulic Slave, Replaced Automatic 4WD hubs with MileMarker series 428 Manual Locking Hubs (with spare hub) for durability, , , , AC Works, Power Windows/Door Locks all work, Rear Window Wiper/Squirter Works, Defroster Works, , Interior: Alpine head unit and all speakers are Alpine with iPod connectivity (no, not just an "Aux In", this is the legit "control-your-ipod-through-the-stereo" cable, though the radio does have an Auxiliary in.) Replaced Heater Core recently., , Asking $5,000 USD OBO. Please don't lowball... KBB "excellent value" does not apply because this by no means is a factory Explorer. Go google what a stock 1993 Explorer looks like and the difference is IMMEDIATELY obvious. I put a lot of thought, time and effort into build
