This example has only accrued just over 22,500 miles since new. This is your opportunity to own a well maintained example in excellent condition. , In 1987, the Espirit was unveiled with a striking new design influenced by famed McLaren F1 designer, Peter Stevens. A new Lotus patented process was invented to create the body, called the VARI process, offering many advantages over the traditional hand laid process. Further reinforced with Kevlar, the Esprits torsional rigidity increased by 22 percent., In 1989, the Esprit was again improved. The turbocharged engine received a water to air charge cooler which Lotus named the Chargecooler.
