1985 Chevrolet Camaro Base

This is a fine example of an f body. This car is pretty much all original. The only things that have been modified from original, are a slight drop in suspension height by about one and a half inches on all four corners, has iroc wheels as as you can see in pics, and the rear gears are up from 3.23 to slightly lower 3.73. The gears made an amazing improvement in performance. The engine is the original 305 tuned port injected, which in 1985 produced 215 horsepower. This was a one year only camshaft and was modified in the 1986 model year to produce only 190 detuned horsepower, go figure!! Anyhow, the performance of this car is really sweet with the lower gear, and the automatic with that gearset is a perfect combination. This car has a 3" flowmaster exhaust from mid car to tailpipes. This thing sounds sweet. Of course, the car is 26 years old, so there are some very minor mechanical issues. The car could use a set of plug wires, however, cap rotor and plugs are relatively new. Fuel filter is new, front pads and rotors are close to new, rear brakes shoes are not new, but do not need any attention. Tires are approximately 40 percent if i had to guess. Battery is almost brand new. Belts have been replaced recently, did not install a belt on the smog pump, but it does work. I left it off to reduce parasitic drag, but it does function. Air conditioner works, but folks who know these cars, know that the system is not very efficient, especially with ttops. The rear gear change has caused the speedo to read about 10 miles per hour faster than actual speed. This is a simple plastic gear change at the speedo hookup on the trans, i just havent got around to changing it. Cosmeticlly, the car is really close to bein perfect. There is some need of clearcoat touchup as shown in pics, with one spot behind t-tops on roof that is missing clear and paint, not a huge spot, but it is also shown in pics. Unfortuately, there is one dent in the left lower corner of hood . Ive been told its an extremely easy fix and will not require a hood. Interior is excellent, with only two small holes, one in drivers seat about the size of a pencil eraser, and another small one in the passenger seat with about the same dimensions.
