The title is a reconstructed title due to the following incident: My wife and were on our way to a family emergency at 2 am and there was a automobile rear end laying in the middle of the highway which had fell off a junk truck flat bed. The rear end was ran over by another truck traveling in front of us and then we ran over it. , , The left front wheel was blow and cracked. Other damage was a bent A-frame, front finder, hood, and stain steel trim around the bottom of the car. We have pictures of the car that was being repaired., , We had the car insured under our regular insurance policy and the blue book value was low due to the age of the car. The repair estimate quote (around $3,000) was an amount that was lower than insurance value to avoid totaling the car. Per the owner of the repair shop the adjuster really liked the car and said that he wanted the car. The adjuster said that the car was a total loss by saying a new hood and finder was needed. We fought with the insurance company to keep the car but they told us the only way that we could do that was to go to an R – title. We went to a lawyer and he said that it would cost more than it would be worth to fight the insurance company.
