1978 Pontiac TRANS AM Unknown

1978 Pontiac Trans Am For Sale in Chicago. This beautiful 78 T/A has the 400 Pontiac engine with Turbo 350 automatic transmission. This T/A was built in the Norwood, Ohio plant, and was sold in Richmond, Virginia. The build sheet will be included with the car, and the list of options read; Softray tinted glass with windshield radio antenna, power windows, roof drip moldings, rear wheel spoilers, rear spoiler, rear glass defogger, A/C (missing compressor setup), rally mirrors, console, 3.23 Posi-traction rear end, power disc brakes (JL2), 400-4brl engine, M33 3 speed automatic trans, tilt column, sport steering wheel, space saver spare (missing), Stereo with tape (gone), courtesy lamp package, WS4 Trans Am package, WS6 package, hood emblem, full factory gauges and tachometer, 15x8 Gray Aluminum Snowflake wheels, custom front and rear seats, WX3 Shaker package (hood), W72 Performance package, custom trim, and T/A springs and shocks. The Red paint looks awesome, with very few flaws, and the black vinyl interior is in great shape. The blower motor currently doesn't work but a new one is included in the trunk. Speedometer currently went out also. There are new hood cowl seals and the factory dual exhaust rear "Splitter" tips are replacements. The engine code is Y4, which is a 77 block, but could be correct if this was an early year build. The heads are 96's, which are 1971 400 4brl heads. The carburetor and intake seem to be matching to the heads, as the 4brl carburetor has the rod/dashpot choke linkage. Probably why this Trans Am runs so good.
