1976 MG MIDGET Laramie SLT 4 X

Convertible season is upon us and this little British Midget should be the answer for a fun summer cruiser. With just over 225k Midget’s produced from 1961 to 1979 and just under 74k produced in this last vintage of the Midget 1500. Significant upgrades were made to this final edition, most important the upgraded 1493cc engine, additional safety componets and now all four gears were synchromeshed to insure a more enjoyable expereience for the driver., , This well preserved Midget has only had two previous owners and the second owning the car for the past 22 years were it was well cared for and significant service history performed to insure its dependability. Recent work over the past few years included; rebuilding the engine, new valves and guides, new electric fuel pump, radiator rebuilt with new rings and bearings. Carbureator rebuilt with all new gaskets and seals as well as a new ignition componets. Vehicle has the factory roll bar installed and the convertible top is in very nice shape. Interior of the vehicle shows minimul wear and leather still in nice condition. Vehicle was serviced by the well known University Motors in Grand Rapids, Michigan under the care of John Twist, master MG mechanic., , With only 50k miles and evidence of being well cared for this Midget represents the MG line very well and one that will bring some memorable experiences to the next owner.
