Gr Auto Gallery is proud to offer for the first time for sale this true, one owner 1973 Triumph TR6 for consideration. This car was ordered and purchased new at Joe Dwyer Inc. in Detroit, MI and delivered on June 18, 1973 dressed in French Blue (126) paint over black interior and outfitted with optional AM-FM radio, floor mats and full tonneau. Since, the car has been garage kept, conservatively driven and meticulously maintained by its only owner, a Ford planning executive and mechanical engineer, for the last 40 years. As a result, the car is meticulously documented including original Bill of sale, original title, original books, service warranty plate, service manuals and a host of records and receipts documenting virtually every service performed. Today the car is presented in outstanding condition mechanically and cosmetically. Notable services include full suspension rebuild with upgraded shocks and components, a recent engine overhaul (at 113,000 miles) including crank, bearings, pistons, Newman (UK) cam, Tufftrided HD lifters, rockers, oil pump, and timing chain. There was also a Roadster Factory cylinder head rebuild including valves, guides, hardened valve seats, 9.5:1 compression ratio, and the carbs rebuilt. Other work includes: a Roadster Factory “Magic Clutch” package installed, the transmission overhauled, rear shocks rebuilt (Apple Hydraulics), rear hubs replaced in 2012, new rear brake drums in 2013, U joints replaced (2010), and new Universal Sport redline tires (2011), front suspension rebush, new shocks, tie rod ends, sway bar links, steering rack reserviced (2012), new windshield And seal (2013), and new mirrors (2012). This TR6 has won “Best in Class” several times to the stringent standards at the annual Mad Dogs And Englishmen Car event held at the world renown Gilmore Car Museum and remains a template of what a TR6 should look like. , The Triumph TR6 is the last of the traditional British Roadsters and 1973 is the final year before federalized bumpers were mandated, thus making it the most valuable. These cars offer a pure, open air, sports car motoring experience that is unique to the marquee. The sound, the feel and the handling is something that any auto enthusiast should experience. Their traditional design, mechanical reliability and parts availability make them easy to own and enjoy. For this reason these cars have become proven investments. The car offered here is one of the finest examples offered for sale today. Do not miss the opportunity. Please call or email for more details today!
