1971 Hemi Orange Dodge Challenger , 1971 Dodge Challenger for your consideration. This old Challenger is one of the most solid cars you will find as it came out of dry New Mexico. The car has no rust issues and has its original panels floors and trunk pan. The floors and frame rails are solid from front to back. The only thing holding the exterior of the car back is the paint job. This car is an original Hemi Orange car as it is painted now but had a budget quality paint job applied. The paint is driver quality but far from show. Some of the trim on the car is less than perfect as it is dinged in a few places. The car has new side markers and front signal lights. The glass is all in decent condition with a new front windshield. This Challenger is powered by the nLegendary Big Block NOM 383 engine with a single 4 barrel carb and headers. The engine runs good and does not get hot. There is a new aluminum radiator that keeps it cool. The exhaust has Flowmaster mufflers and runs out the back. The engine is backed by a 4 speed transmission with a new clutch and pressure plate. It runs through all of the gears as it should. The rear end is the stock non-posi unit with highway gears. The car has new brakes around including all new disc brakes in the front. The car rides on rally wheels with fairly new tires. The interior is in great condition and has new carpet door panels front and rear seat covers and dash pad. The headliner is in good condition and appears to have been replaced at some point. Overall this is a good driver quality car that could be really nice with some TLC. It is also a solid enough foundation that it would make a good restomod candidate.
