With a very nice paint, but showing, the car is still in very good condition., , This 1970 Vette has been owned by one woman since the day she drove it from Friendly Chevrolets dealership in March of 1971. Youve all heard about the little old lady from Pasadena, well we have the true story of the little old lady from Dallas. Now 91, and still driving until just last month, we are sure she could tell some great stories about herself and her Stingray., , The car was repainted once at Suell Lexus in Dallas. The 1970 Chevrolet Corvette replaced the 4 side gills with an egg-crate vents on the side. Riding on its factory BF Goodrich tires P215-70R15 in the front and the rear as well., , The interior features black all throughout including the seats and the dashboard. It is in good condition, the door panels appear to have been sprayed black at some point, but other than that there has been little work done to the interior. The family said the seats were recovered once also., , As seen in the pictures the side of the doors, and underneath the is some surface rust. All of its unique and classic gauges are working properly, including its radio and the air condition blows cold air for those summer days in the Dallas heat. Even the original clock is working. It is seldom we see a 43 year old Corvette with everything working., , The 87,040 Miles are actual according to the family. Mom only drove it here in town and averaged just about 2000 miles a year. In some parts of the interior and the seats, tears can be seen from so many years on the road. It has a crack in the back of the center console under the cushion., , As for a transmission the 1970 Corvette has a three speed automatic transmission, powered by the standard 350 cu in V8 5.7 L engine and capable of producing up to 300 horse power, this car is perfect for anybody; just the perfect Corvette for those summer days. , , The original 350 engine still runs well. We dont have any maintenance records available, but it is obvious that the owner took good care of her beloved Stingray. At some point in the early 90s, the family tells us that the engine was pulled and compleatly gone over by a local machine shop. The owner always wanted the car running its best so she could just turn the key and go., , The undercarriage in this car is in great condition, it is rust free in most parts and the body is extremely straight.
