We are pleased to offer this rare 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Post car for consideration. Originally born with a 283 V8 and Automatic transmission, this car was transformed over a 5 year period in the mid 1990’s into the revered “409” 4-speed configuration that was legendary for mowing down its competition in street racing and confiscating pink slips up and down the west coast. This three owner features a date correct 409 “W” block correct heads and intake. It is fed by a 600 CFM Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. Power is transferred by its Muncie M20 4 speed transmission and applied vi 3.70 posi rear end. A full frame off restoration was performed on this solid, non-problematic car. The car is finished in Cadillac Diamond White metallic paint over very attractive red - white bench seat interior. Other highlights include new NOS quarter panels, new 11 ½ inch clutch, new suspension, original chrome and stainless trim, American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. Mechanically the car is outstanding providing plenty of power and drivability cosmetically the appearance is very crisp and quite stock with a few enhancements.
