Beautiful original Factory Black/Pink Texas Sportsman with full Power including AC. Designed and powered for the super-highway age, the 1956 Desotos exemplified the age of cars built for America's new interstate highway system. From their hemi engines, their Powerflite transmissions, to the new super highway safety lights, these cars were built to be King of the Road. This particular example is was sold new in Ft. Worth Texas to a man in Tucson Arizona. It spent years in the Pate Museum in Texas. It is Factory Jet Black and Shell Pink with a matching Pink Leather interior in Raised Rib Damask. It is equipped with Power steering, Power Brakes, Power windows,Power seats, radio, heater, dealer installed air conditioning and more. It has had a professional repaint, but the interior remains a beautiful original covered in clear plastic covers. It is a very original car that looks to have been in a dry climate and rust free. Still has the original drain holes in the rocker panels. The trunk mat is original and dry, with a few cracks. It is missing the right side roof molding. Mechanically the car drives like a dream with everything working including the radio and air. Really a perfect example of they're only original once. Comes with original owners manual, warranty information, service certificate etc.
