But not the 49 Oldsmobile Futuramic 88. Its styling was clean, simple, futuristic -- Futuramic, , In 1949, Oldsmobile brought out the first overhead valve Rocket V8 and the rest is history. This engine in this car, began re-writing history starting at NASCAR winning the NASCAR Championship in 1949 and again in 1950 and 1951. Of the nine Grand National Championship races, the 88 won six of them. This car is a true NASCAR champion and a significant part of the American automobile and racing history. , , , , We found this car and a 1952 Hudson Hornet sitting in a garage in upstate NY. They have been ran occasionally over the past few decades and were well maintained throughout that time. The owner has now decided to pass them on to someone who will enjoy them as he did through the past few decades. , , , , The interior is immaculate. The odometer reads just under 57000 and is correct. The seats are like new without a single tear. Gauges are clear and all work properly.
