1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Unknown

Very clean original 40 coupe. This is a coupe that was owned by the same family since new. It looks like it was a 50s type car with the dual spotlights and the blue and white interior. The engine is still a 216, but appears to be a 52-53. It has the casting for later motor mounts on the block. , , Car had been in storage for years. We changed the oil and primed the carb, and it started and sounded good. Did not run for long due to the old gas in the tank., , The body is very straight and shows no rust other than in the rear pan below the trunk lid. It is missing the left door molding and the short cowl moldings behind hood. The running boards are both dented on the sides., , This would be a great car to do a little work on and drive as is. It has a patina look that you could leave as is. , , The car has a clear Colorado title. It was originally purchased in New Mexico, so this is a dry climate car since new.
